Now Trial Lawyer has become a loaded term to mean many things which aren't true, think of it as an intellectual Ambulance Chaser. Trial Lawyers sue large companies against their client's wishes and usually they sue because it's the client's fault for being too stupid to know how to work something.
While there may be Trial Lawyers like that Edwards fought against corporations with a history of negligence. "My idealistic view of lawyers was that they could help people who couldn't help themselves, and couldn't fight for themselves," Edwards says.
His big cases follow that belief. Winning millions for families who have suffered medical malpractice, specifically dealing with child birth. He also not afraid to take a company to court when they have a history of negligence.
If the GOP attacks Edwards for being a Trial Lawyer I hope they're ready to answer why a family shouldn't sue a company for faulty pool filters, why a family shouldn't sue a hospital for having their child born with brain damage. It should be a fun fight.
